audiophile extension conflict...

I've got an M-Audio audiophile running on my G4 466, under OS 9.1 with the latest delta drivers. However, I have been inconsistently getting bus errors on startup - sometimes things work fine and other times the system hangs. I've tried with a trimmed down extension set, but as this is an intermittent problem it's very hard to test. I've contacted tech support and they pretty much told me what I already knew...

So, in the hopes that I won't have to spend a day restarting my computer over and over testing all the extensions, I thought I would ask other audiophile users on the Mac if anyone has had this same problem, and if they happened to have figured it out...

I feel your pain

Try another slot for the audiophile and see if that helps - I think a buss error normally means a hardware error. Also try updating the system to 9.2 that may help.
I am running G4733 quicksilver with audiophile - I had a few crashes and system hangs to start with but updated the drivers and now runs like a dream - with no special extension set
