Does anyone know which CDR drive interface is best? Should I stick with SCSI or go for a Firewire CDR drive? I've heard Plextor drives are some of the best. I've been thinking about getting one of those QPS Que Fire Drives that are popping up everywhere, don't they have rebadged Plextor drives in them.
What do you all think?
thanks

SCSI is still better, but if you have too many hook ups to your SCSI bus then go with Firewire. Again if you're burning one CD every hour SCSI is much faster.

How would burning a CD at 2x on a SCSI drive be faster than 2x on a Firewire drive? It takes me 1/2 the time of the source material at 2x on my Glyph. Would 2x on a SCSI take less time? Please clarify. http://www.audioforums.com/forums/confused.gif

When you burn a CD it goes by seconds on your monitor, when actually it's all in milliseconds. When you see on your software display 9,8,7..... try to track it with a stop watch - you'll see when you use SCSI CDRW those numbers move slightly faster.

I agree with Bob. Glyph Wildfire is fast and reliable. Free Toast ain't bad either.
