IBM 75GXP drives

Read some disconcerting threads on a couple other boards about high failure rates of the IBM 75GXP Deskstars. I've got two 75Gb drives sitting in the box waiting for me to install them in my G4/500. I wasn't able to determine from the threads what systems they were using but the common problem seemed to start with the drives making a sound like a cat scratching at a screen door. http://www.audioforums.com/forums/eek.gif
Anyways, was wondering if any of my Mac bretheren have experienced problems with these drives, especially the 60 and 75Gb models.

I have one of the 60 gig IBM Deskstars running in a G4/500 and I haven't had any problems with it.

The only thing is that when I first formatted it and ran a scandisk utility there were some disk errors, but since fixed, its been smooth.
