Hi all,
While a dedicated desktop based DAW system would be nice, I use my computer for many tasks: (internet, office apps, multimedia, ect...).
So when I start my machine, it loads stuff that is not only unnecessary for use as a DAW, but in many cases is probably detrimental.
Even though I have a separate XP user for my music apps a lot of the support apps that I have installed for my other login still starts up for the music login.
Is there was a way to isolate the login to prevent this from happening. Experiments with msconfig have shown that even that seems to be shared between users :-(
Can anyone help?
Yes I could dual boot, but that would require buying another XP license, extra HD space for seperate OS, boot hassles,... :-(
Thanks,
Abheeru
