why not use a mac?

they're powerful, easy to use, stable....

so why is there a little bit of anti-mac sentiment floating around in some of these posts?!

I've only recently started doing any of this stuff seriously so my knowledge of software is less than most peoples here, but my girlfriend recently bought a powerbook, and I can't see myself ever purchasing anything but mac in the near future. Especially that nice big beautiful G5.... hubba hubba.... :D

Absolutely nothing other than software and hardware choices. The Mac has a rather limited choice of both (and a bit more expense for the power/performance), but if what you want runs on a Mac, go for it.

PC and Mac BOTH work; it's just a matter of personal or software choice.
