Spent some good money last year on the roland rpc sound card and the SI-24 interface. Excellent machines in themselves. Being a long time user of Cubase, I searched for an interface that would be compatible, . I find out that even though Roland says it is, its not. Is anyone else having this problem or maybe someone can send me to link that helps with generic remote settings in cubase. An example of one of the problems i have is, when all items are not assigned(no commands set), my faders will switch back and forth to Solo, Mute whenever I move them. HELP ME Please, I dont want to have to switch programs this late in the game, but it looks loke I may have to

Hi, there is a special forum for the SI-24, the folks over there will probably know the answer.
See http://groups.yahoo.com/group/rolandstudiopack/

I'll be happy to see you there!

Thanks for the link, I checked it out and found a lot of new things out, unfortunately none relating to my problem. Its as if the SI-24 is a very rare piece of equipment. I may just switch to Sonar, although I know Cubase inside and out. From what they say at the sight you gave me, the SI-24 workd flawlessly with Sonar. Thanks again

The SI-24 is designed to work with Logic, or ProTools, or Sonar; you can call up those settings with the system button, see the manual for that.
There was one user on the yahoo group that used Cubase and got everything to work apart from the joggle button.
But if Cubase has a midi learn/midi show you can make your own settings by hand.
Maybe on some cubase forum people will know?

Or try to ask your dealer.

Maybe, these will work; I haven't tried them, but I think they will.

(German site always have more tech info, pics and drivers, I don't know why, but if I can't find stuff, I search German sites...)

Thanks again, I'll give em a try. As for contacting the dealer, his reply was,"wow, i dont think they make the .xml file for that anymore, but if i come across it, i'll email it to ya". Needless to say it never showed up.I have been trying to set by hand, but the big problem i have like i mentioned above is that any fader i move switched the mute and solo buttons very rapidly, Im beginning to wonder if its just a flaw in my cubase 2. Ive read a few forums where people were having trouble with the problems with Cubase and the SI-24, of course I havent seen anyone having the problem with the faders. It kind of pisses me off that in the manual for the SI-24 it says its compatible with Cubase (why i bought it in the first place) and even gives you a site to download the file i need, only it doesnt have the file i need.oh well.

Except for the fader problem, the SX file works great. TY
