Would anyone be as kind to take a look at this: List of headphones (http://www.k-arvutisalong.ee/index.php?lang=est&main_id=49)?
It's the headphones list for my local computer store and I'm looking for a pair of those big headphones that surround your ear so you can hear little else than what's playing on the PC. Preferrably with a microphone. As an explanation, the word "Kõrvaklapid" means "headphones" and "mikrofoniga" is "with microphone" in Estonian. The price should be under 500 of our local unit of currency displayed under the word "Hind" (price).
Just so you know, $1 is about 12, £1 is just under 23 and 1 euro is 15 and a half of the currency unit.

I've looked, now what?
You want to know my choice?
I'd go for some sennheiser, but why not ask the store which type?

Hey Andre,

I can give you some suggestions for headphones. AKG or Sony from my experience have some impressive models available. AKG K240s, are a good reference choice. Sony 7509s would be a higher end choice. A friend of mine uses them for mixing and gets impressive results. The K240s are about $85-100 U.S. on Ebay. Apparently K240DFs, also from AKG employ a room modeling formula to emulate the frequency responses of a room within the headphones. This (obviously) is a great idea. These are about $200 U.S. I use the K240s daily and find them reliable, but the Sony's have more separation & detail.

I'll leave the exchange rate considerations in your hands. :p
Good luck!

I use AKG K273... the sound quality is impressive... nothing comparable to more cheaper (I have senheisers, technics, sony, etc) . The only bad thing is they dont reproduce good low frequencies (so forget them for mixing... maybe just as referencing), and very little volume comparing with any other headphones, so you maybe need a headphone amp for using them on a noisy environment or just to hear louder. Forget them for DJ's etc. The cable is detachable, they turn off when you take'em off.

I bought them for about 250$ in www.alfasoni.com
