I am using Waves Renaissance Native Compressor/EQ/Reverb bundle with
Protools LE.
I recently had to reauthorize my plug-ins because I replaced my hard
drive.
At this time, I also upgraded from OS 8.6 to 9.0
The plug-ins work fine on new sessions. But when I open an older session
(recorded before I upgraded the OS) it crashes due to an error 2
message. It took me several hours to figure out that the only sessions
that crash like this are the ones with Waves plug-ins.
There must be some kind of conflict with the information recorded under
OS 8.6 .
The sessions come from two different hard drives so I think it's more
likely that it's an OS problem than a hard drive problem.
Waves recommended trashing certain preferences and reinstalling but that did not help.
Protools does not give me the option for backward compatibility that they say I should be seeing.
