When I crop a .wav or .mp3 file into smaller file and then go to (save as) mp3. The unregisted verson of Sound Forge 7 tells me I only have 15 more (saves as mp3 left). I won't ever register it, I can't seem to find a crack, is there any way around it.

I'm looking for help, not critizism. I'm not someone who can afford 1, 2, 3, hundered dollar software. Let alone, think I should have to pay that much. I'm not producing money from my music, it's a hobbie and it costs them less then a Cent for them to make. So if you don't have anything better to do, then get my hopes up thinking someone had an answer for me. Go bother someone else, or better yet go help someone else.

From the front page of audioforums.com
AudioForums.com is definitely not the place to discuss warez, cracks or stolen software in any form. Thanks, we definitely appreciate your cooperation!

Just save your audio as wavs and then use a free converter to get them to mp3. There are plenty of quality freeware converters out there that will do the job.
I hate shelling out the cash too... but this is the wrong place to try and find a crack. If you're just a hobbyist... look into Sound Forge Audio Studio... it should more than accommodate your needs and is a hell of a lot cheaper than Sound Forge. Better yet, download a freebie audio editor, there are a couple of decent ones that again, will more than suffice for what you are doing. Try googling "WavePad" or "Audacity." Both are freeware and should do what you need, without ripping anybody off.
Good Luck.

Don't cry "I'm poor"; we are too.
But there is other software out there to convert to mp3s. Find it and use it, don't steal someone else's rent money to do it.
Also consider that Fraunhofer IIS (and others) spent millions developing what became the MPEG-1 audio codec, and they have to recover this money somehow. The money they end up getting also supported their work on the MPEG-2 extensions to Layer I,II, and III audio, and also AAC encoding (both the origianl NBC encoder in MPEG-2 and the extensions in MPEG-4). I can't remeber, but I think they also had a hand in the other MPEG-4 codecs, such as the HVXC vocoder. It also supports current audio research.

Thank you robertruetz, 1 reply with something helpful. I never said I was looking for a crack or to do something illegal, I asked for some advice and robertruetz help me out. And for all you other A hole's who replied. Sony is a massive corperation who make billions of dollar in PROFIT on products like this all the time. Which the CEO's 1/2 a Billion anual salary, doesn't give a **** about the advacement of music. A lot of money does go into making software but they jack up the prices so much, and make such a huge profit, IT GREED. You probably all voted for Bush. FREAKIN Nazi's. Now someone end this Thread, my problems been solved.

Okay, this forum is full of professionals or semi-pros in the audio production industry. Whether they be musicians or producers or somewhere in between like yourself. You have to understand that a lot of us have devoted a large portion of our lives to this pursuit and we don't take very kindly to someone barging in here, wanting a quick and dirty way around all of the experience we earned on our own. None of us mind helping out whenever possible... that is afterall what this forum is all about. But don't expect a great reaction when you ask questions that trivialize what we all do or how we do it.
Next, about your own personal "rage against the machinery." Yes, Sony is a huge corporation that doesn't care about blah blah blah. Until you have millions of dollars to buy the technology from a struggling company like Sonic Foundry and continue to spend millions to improve it... keep your rhetoric to yourself. We all count on other people to make the magic happen. I can't write the code that "make it do what it does." Until I can, I'm going to have to pay people to do it for me. I need them to keep on pursuing a better product to make my work easier and cleaner. I don't know where you got the idea that you were entitled to someone elses work, just because you can't afford to pay for it, and don't know how to do it the hard way. Just telling it like it is, man. We don't expect you to understand this, since this isn't how you pay your bills. You just touched a sore spot with us audiophiles, that's all. Now, I hate gettin' all preachy... Can we all just get back to makin' sweet music?
By the way, glad I could help... come back anytime.
I'm out, yo!

I apologize for anyone who took what I said so personally, especial if this is the type of work you do. I found this sight yesterday, there wasn't to many resoures, but I figured I'd ask a question. I felt attacked, I asked for help not critizism, and everyone had to put their 2 cents in. I think that you would all probably have a more successful forum, that generates more information If you weren't all so on edge. RELAX
Does anyone know a better forum for me? So I won't bother you guy again, somewhere with more users, more threads and posts.
Maybe in a big forum I'll get help not greef when I have a question.

Why don't you go to kiddiepiratez.com ???
You don't sound like you have a very professional or good personal attitude...
