Mac Scsi Problems

Anyone have had problems using an Akai S1000/S1100 with a 9600 Mac. I had a 7200 and it worked fine thru scsi, I got a 9600 and now it will not work. Anybody have any ideas?

First thing to check on anything SCSI is: what Device number is it set to?? Remember that 0 is reserved for the computer and 3 is reserved for your CD-ROM. If the Akai can be changed, try resetting the SCSI device number to something different.

The other important thing is termination. Is the last device on the SCSI chain (I'm assuming it's your Akai) is terminated? Does it have an internal setting or a pass-thru to put on a terminator??? If your SCSI chain is not properly terminated you will have problems or not see devices on the chain.
