US-428: output low

I've posted about this before, but...

My Tascam US-428 is in the shop, 'cause I'm getting a lowering output signal. I'm using Fostex PM0.5 monitors. They're self-powered, for whatever that means.

I'm awaiting word from Tascam and the tech who's fixing it, but has anyone else experienced this problem? Just asking.

We're talking Playback here. Recording seems to be fine. It's been a long, slow decrease in output. :(
