I'm just starting to work with a 1010LT. When using the mic preamps for xlr ins 1 and 2, the signal is too hot. Way too hot. I've tried turning the level of the input down in the m-audio contrl panel but the signal is still too hot. Is this just how the card is? Is there some other way to bring the level down?
Thanks,
Chris.
Isn't there jumper pins on the card that can adjust the level of the mic pre's?
I would take a look and the manual, I think that should solve your problem.

Perhaps if you un-plug the mic? But seriously, folks... M-Audio has a web site. On it are downloads. Some of those downloads are owner's manuals... In fact:
http://www.m-audio.com/images/global/manuals/Delta1010LT-Manual.pdf
is the link for the 1010LT. Go to pages 14 & 15...

Sorry for the late reply.
if you haven't figured out yet, the jumpers JP1 and JP2 are the ones i am speaking of. If you download the manual from m audio. Go to page 8 and it explains how to set the jumpers for Mic, Line.
Basically its :
Both up = +30 dB mic level
First one up second one down = +19 dB mic lvl (this is the one you want)
Both down = line level +4
Any other questions/

jumpers are a set of metal pins and a connector that function as a switch when the connector is move from one set of pins to another.
