I got an M-Audio Radium 49 USM MIDI controller so that I can use it with Reason (2.5). I'm having two specific problems with it:
1) I has 8 knobs and 8 sliders. When i start Reason and create,say, a Malstrom device, 4 of each are already assigned to control certain parameters, and 4 are knobs/sliders are not assigned at all. I have no problem using the Edit MIDI Remote Mapping to assign the ones that are not pre-assigned. However, when I try to re-assign the pre-assigned ones, they end up controlling both the original parameter and the one I re-assinged it to. I've tried a lot of solutions, including selecting 'Not mapped' in the Remote Mapping Right-click Menu and it doesn't help, nothing's worked.
2)When I have multiple devices, say a Malstrom and a Redrum, The controller will send data to both even when I select just one. At the top of the rack, I make sure that Bus A, Chan 1 says Malstrom and that Redrum is on a seperate channel. This doesn't work. I also tried disconnecting Redrum and this didn't work either.
This is the first time I really tried a MIDI set-up. Anyone else have a problems like these? Am I missing something?
