Can anyone recommend a reliable external firewire drive?
I will be storing video footage for small projects as well as audio projects in the future. Maybe a system I can add to as need be. Immediately I'm looking for an 18-20Gig drive. Also, a companion CD-RW as well?
Thanks!

If all you're doing is looking for storage space, then any standard brand firewire drive should do just fine. If you can find out what type of drive is used, it's even better - IBM, Western Digital, Seagate, etc. all make good drives - just stick to something well known.

As for a Firewire CD burner - I've been using the CDRevo drive and had absolutely no problems...

I bought a 60gig Firewire HD from Lacie.

It rocks!! it's quiet, looks cool, and best of all, I'm getting 21-26 tracks w/ Plugins on a G3 350 in Digital Performer.

I would recommend it highly!!
