Anyone tried this thing out? I know it's going to be inviting a round of ridicule and broughaha...:p , but they're gearing up to present Mackie and HUI emulation, and allegedly handle Sonar 3, and Nuendo, among others...
Any comments?

Yes,
I have it (BCF2000 the one with faders) and must say it's the best piece of gear i've put my hard earned money on for a long time. Been using it for 2 weeks or so, and so far it's been working fine. Mainly i've been using it in Cubase SX2 to control the SX mixer. It's really cool when you open a project in Cubase and all the faders jump immediately in the right position exactly as they are in the Cubase mixer.

Ha! No fooling. A positive review about Behringer. Wonder how it works with Sonar and Cool Edit Pro 2...
My Tascam US-428 has some kind of blown-out problem with the output chip, I think. It's in the shop this week...but then that's the soundcard aspect- and this Behringer device is only a controller, right?
Your description sounds much more like how one of these things ought to work. So much of this gear (esp the lower priced stuff) seems to need help limping along, somehow. A lot of manual resetting and aligning goes on with my 428- moving from one bank of 8 tracks to the other bank of 8 tracks; re-setting the faders to their new level on-screen, etc.
Also the faders are rather rough on the 428. I noticed this especially when using it to write automation in Sonar 3: The glitch in the controller's fader's movement was written into the on-screen fader's movement. Got it pretty fixed after a little work, but this represents a waste of time, really. Especially after having paid hard money for this thing, too...
Thanks for the word on the Behringer. Maybe it'll be a move, when I can pull another soundcard together!
