Hey there

I work for a church and we are currently looking at ways to film our worship services. I cannot give the camera's a live mix so I want to record everything, mix it and then put it on the video. I'm pretty sure I've got recording the service sorted out but I'm a little unsure about how to sync the video with the sound. Someone told me that software like cubase generates a time code that can be added to the video tape. Is this true and how does this cope with video tape changes?

I hope my question isn't to vague - I'm a complete newb and I'm hoping that things will make sense eventually!

Thanks

Digital video is a broad, deep and very technical subject. I would suggest you go to Barnes&Noble or Borders, grab a cuppa java and start reading or start ordering some books like these. It may be easier though to digitise your video and edit the sound in on a computer with something like vegas video. It's really tough to automate it.

Thanks macouno

After reviewing the equipment that our video team have we've decided it would probably be much much easier digitising the video.
