I think i've been pretty much sold on the new RME Fireface, and im getting rid of my desktop rig for a mobile one. However, before i buy a laptop, i need to know one question....

HOW FAST DOES MY COMPUTER NEED TO BE TO RUN THE RME FIREFACE WITH LESS THAN 7MS LATENCY AT 24B/48KHZ??????

Here's the answer to your question from RME founder Matthias Carstens,posted on RME newsgroup.

"My PIII 800 can use the Fireface at 64 samples (equalling raw 1.5 ms
latency, or a total of 3 ms digital playback to analog)."
