hello,
i just sold my p.c. laptop and bought a g4 powerbook. it's the sexiest thing i've ever touched but i went to buy software for it today and was horrified to find that fruity loops (the only sequencer i've ever had any luck with) is only made for p.c. i know that most people don't consider fruity to be among the top sequencers but i found it's interface to be especially intuitive, most specificlyin the ability it gives you to edit each sound seperately (as i'm not into using drum sounds 'as is' generally)
any opinions you guys have regarding other software sequencers (that supports mac os x) would be greatly appriciated. especially helpfull would be a program that resembles fruity in some meaningfull way
if it helps to further narrow the discussion, i'm hoping mostly to make kind of odd sounding drum loops,.... in the vain of radiohead or the postal service or even nine inch nails.
thanks for your time,
t5u

Yeah painfull isn't it... I love fruity as well... and really honestly there's nothing with that intuitive/simple feel out there.

I think your only viable option is Reason. It's not as user friendly... I personally didn't really like the interface, but it's better quality than fruity and has all it's features and more.

The other alternative is using vst instrument plugins (native instruments battery for drums) in your audio sequencer.

hell yeh iuse fl and aint nothing betta than it but i don't use it in its basic form

anyways there should be a mac emulator that should allow u to use fl studio and if that don't work then try reason

or u could get logic pro the interface is somewhat like fl studio so it shouldn't be too difficult and u shouldn't have any probs since logic is owned by apple
