Hi Guys,

Just wondering if any of you have stumbled across an AAC compatible audio editor? I'm a Wavelab user myself, and I've found out to my annoyance that I have no way of accessing and editing the 30gb worth of AAC files I've encoded from my CD's. Is there an editor out there? Failing that, a converter that will convert from AAC to Wav, or at a push, AAC to MP3?

Thanks in advance for any of your replies.

dBpowerAMP Music converter (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm) will convert AAC.
You will need to download the AAC codec from their Codec Central (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central.htm).

You can export AAC files from iTunes as standard .wav or .aif files.

Oh cool - I didn't know you could do that! How do I go about it?

1) Change your importing preferences to the format that you want.

2) Select the track you want in your library.

3) Go the the 'Advanced' menu, and choose "Convert selection to (your selected format)."

That's the three-step process. If there's a shorter way, let me know.

Ahh rockin'!

That explains why I could only see "convert selection to AAC"

I'll give it a whirl, thanks!
