Recently I got into a pissing match with another member of this forum (injuredrat) and displayed behaviour not becoming of this forum.....I apologize to all that I have offended! I am not trying to justify anything that I have done....but sometimes the attitude and actions of others bring out the worst in me.......again...I apologize and will try to behave myself in the future!

Sorry people.......I just started a new thread and did not pay any attention to the location of this thread.....maybe the moderator could move this to the appropiate place....again....sorry for any confusion or inconvinience.
We are all stupid! I think the thing is to be smart enough to admit it :)

Don't worry about it! I do not even know what you said, and do not even care. The important thing is to contribute or get what you need out of this forum.
Heck I am not very pleased this forum sold out to sweetwater as far as banner adds but whatever the owner has got to make a living right? We all need to get along here but if you have a valid point or want to debate someones idea you have every right.
Just be sure when you do have a point you can back it up with something. And that is from experience on a number of forums. This forum is tame compared to some of the nasty gangs of un-moderated ass wipes who hang out on other forums and thats what makes it one of my favorites.
It has kept it's mellow tone for the most part. Forums need to have integrity and this one does form the great and vast knowledge of all it's users.
As long as this forum does not get all political and ugly like some of the software gaint forums things will be good.
Admitting your wrong shows character. Stay off the coffee or Mountain Dew that stuff will turn you into a freak!!!
As they say bro, it's all good!!!

No worries JP...I locked the other thread as it was getting nasty.
Dawbox...I wouldn't say Audioforums sold out to sweetwater...maybe they're the only ones who are advertising...lol. Dudes gotta make some money to keep this boat afloat ya know.

Couple of thoughts:
Like it or not, (and I DONT) the banners are a way of making money for some. A good friend of mine (who shall remain nameless) is now running banners on his website. I think they look awful and cheapen his entire presentation. But that's just me, I guess. He says they are paying him about $150 pr mo. to run 'em. I still don't like them, and worse: They have some way of figuring out who's hitting what advertiser and are always re-orienting what pops up in his banneres. UGH! No thanks. (One of the banners was running some cheapo software/hardware in direct competition to both of our services, and there "I" was, sending people to it via a link from MY page! Grrrrrrrrr)
As for fights/arguments; yeah, it happens, but things are a lot calmer/nicer now. There was a guy a while back (about a year ago) that seemed to constantly piss everyone off and make wise-ass remarks about everything, but he seems to have gone away.
I drink a lot of coffee too (gee, can ya TELL!?!?! ;-) but I try to temper my enthusiasm with my passions about this stuff, and I always re-read everything at least twice before hitting "Send". There's also the "Edit" button for something after you've sent it, if you really feel that bad (or embarassed) about something you've said.
I like to think everyone's heart is in the right place here, otherwise they wouldn't be here responding or asking questions. Sometimes we all get carried away with what works for US (Hey, it's that kind of competitive world out there!) but it's worth remembering that each person deserves SOME respect and consideration - at least until they relinquish it for bad behavior. <G>
That said, it's great to exchange ideas and info here with EVERYONE to date. I learn a lot, as well as (I hope!) help others in a pinch with what I've learned.

I was told some story about them not doing any banners for any other companies but yet theres the sweetwater one. Not an issue and I was a bit bummed after hearing that but that does not mean I do not like the forum and what chris puram has done for us.
Whatever as long as we get our fix out here trading technical fishing stories I am fine with it. (LOL)
Good post Joe!

I had noticced that the thread had been locked....and that was a good thing......I tend to have a niche for going for the throat even when I'm wrong! Give me a little time and I cool off and mend my ways. I deal with the public on a daily basis and have learned not to let them get the best of me....sometimes this is not a good thing...............anyway....thanks for the understanding and the support....this is a killer forum and I have gotten much info here.....hopefully I have given some as well! BTW.....the banner adds don't bother me a bit!
