I've got a situation here. I'm using an apartment for my Project Studio. The dimentions of the control room area are:

9' Wide
14' Deep
8' High

On my right I've got sliding glass doors, on my left a Whisper Booth and the right/rear corner of the area is cut off at a 45 degree angle with a faux fire place with a mirror on it.

Monitors are Yorkville.

What I'm getting is a booming in the middle rear of the room. Any suggestions?

All the best,

Ian

You should look into some bass trapping for the rear of your room.
Wall Units (http://www.johnlsayers.com/HR/index1.htm) for some DIY ideas. Even a Google search for bass trapping should turn up a good number of results.
StudioTips (http://www.studiotips.com/) and SAE (http://www.saecollege.de/reference_material/index.html) are a few good sites.

Get this month's issue of EQ magazine. (September, 2004 - with Franz Ferdinand on the cover) It's got four or five articles devoted to project studio designs, room tuning, etc., plus there are lots of sources for more info in these articles. (too much to list here). www.EQMag.com

Good luck!
