Hi everyone, I’m a wannabe guitar player looking for virtual a back up band and an amp. I’ve been playin around with a couple free midi programs (Quartz Audio, and Melody Assistant) for a couple weeks. I’m very new to computerized music. I also downloaded a little program that turned my PC into an effects processor. My question is this. Is there software that can do both? Play and edit midi and process a line in signal while playing midi, mixing it all right on the computer for recording and monitering? If there is such a beast that can be had on a hobbiests budget.
