There's a daily radio show I love, but am rarely home to catch it.

Is there a way I can set up my computer to record the radio every day at a given time (e.g. 6pm-7pm) and save it as a .wav or other high quality file on my hard drive for later listening?

Any help/suggestions on the hardware/software required would be greatly appreciated.

Tks

I know of a fried who could not get signals of his favourite radio station at work. So he rigged up a fancy setup...

He had a radio miced into a plain vanilla sound card on computer that was setup with a web server behind a linux firewall. He encoded the audio stream on the fly into a file that was accessible via the webserver. When he was at work he would point his realplayer browser to his webserv and voila... streaming radio station. Worked quite well and had the advantage of haveing a copy for later use. He got even fancier by using a scheduler to start and stop recording when he wanted. He could even start and stop recording via a web interface. Nifty!
