View Full Version : Remote recording macro or shortcut...

Hey all,

I would like to install a remote control on my PC for those spur of the moment ideas. So pressing the record button will open up CEP 2.0 and begin recording as well as a stop button that saves. My main concern is putting the least amount of stress on the system(XP) with the least or friendliest software and drivers possible.

So far I like this remote for its size and simplicity (but serial?):

what the hell no record button...eh, I could use the 'start' button

I was also looking at the USB Ahanix and ATI(RF for 40 bucks...yeah!) here:

Now for the questions...

What is the best way to go about this (step-by-step, hardware and software)?
Are there any drawbacks going with serial?
Is this possible without using macro software in the background?
Why am I so damn LAZY?

Thanx in advanced.
