Hey, I've been wondering about how to do this for a while and have asked at many forums.
What I want to do, is create beats on the fly but before I 'commit' changes so to speak, I want to be able to sample them first through headphones. Heres how I think it would work
You have your normal setup, and instead of having one output channel, you have two - one to live, one to headphones. Once you have a pattern that you are happy with, just switch on the 'live' switch and it'll go through to the different output.
This way you can create stuff on the fly, and make it alot more dynamic, and have the freedom (and privacy) to make adjustments before commiting your changes to the live speakers.....
Any ideas??
