noise gate pots all siezed up!

Dudes:

After sitting idle for a year or so all the pots on my Audio Logic noise gate are seriously gummed up and siezed in place.

I managed to free them (somewhat) but it nearly took pliers to do it.

What can I use that's 'electronically safe' to lube 'em back to civilization?

You can use some contact cleaner / lubricant available at electronics part stores to try to freshen the pots a bit. You will need to get inside the unit to get the cleaner into the back side of the pots.

Contact cleaner solutions are available at www.partsexpress.com (http://www.partsexpress.com) or at Radio Shack. The Shack may be quicker but more expensive.
