hi
im totaly new at this and would realy likes some help chosing a sound card, i play guitar acoustic and electro acustic i also sing.
im after a sound card to make and record music. i dont need anything of real high standard as its a livingroom set up, but want something thats half decent and fairly easy to use.
im gessing that sound efects delay, chorus ect and tracks 16 ,32 come in the program side of things, plz tell me if im wrong.
will the sound i play be heard as i play or will there be a slight delay for sound cards in the £100 price range which is about my budget
and will i need to get usb 2.0 for a new sound card?

There are many choices out there. You have to decide how much
you want to spend and what kind of features you need.
Here are a few brands that offer low cost *professional* sound cards. M Audio, Tascam, Edirol. Check out their websites to get acquainted with what they have to offer and come back here with questions. we'll try to get you something that's right for you.

You will either need a preamp or a audiocard with a preamp built in like the www.esi-pro.com waveterminal 192L card which fits your budget.
